The Coronado museum is part of The Coronado Historical Association which exists to encourage and promote the appreciation, knowledge, and understanding of Coronado's unique art, architecture, history and other historical resources.
The Museum of History and Art contains four separate Museum galleries, each focused on a particular aspect of Coronado's unique past. From it's early beginnings as a home to the La Jollan and Dieguito Native Americans to the luxury resort of today, you will find intriguing exhibits that capture the core of Coronado's history, highlighted by the Museum's fantastic collection of art, architectural elements, textiles, ephemera, and other memorabilia dating from before the turn-of-the-century.

Getting there
The museum is located in the heart of historic downtown Coronado, at 1100 Orange Avenue.
Take I-15 south to 163 south. Exit Park Blvd/5 S. Follow signs for I-5 S and merge on to I-5 S. Exit on to CA-75 toward Coronado. Make a slight left at 3rd Street, and than turn left at Orange Ave.

The Coronado Museum of History & Art and Coronado Visitor Center are open weekdays from 9 - 5, and weekends from 10 - 5. The museum is a not-for-profit organization, and daily admission is a $6 suggested donation. For more information call 619.435.7242.

"Hotel del Coronado Tour"
Docents from the Coronado Historical Association lead a one-hour tour throughout the historic Hotel del Coronado. Tours begin outside the Grande Hall doors, on the north side of the hotel, on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 PM. $15 per person, $12 for CHA members, children under six are free.
