Hi,
Could any one let me know the process to give Power of Attorney to some in India from here. Actually I am applying for a house loan from SBI and they said that I should give power of Attorney to some one India so that they can sign
for me for the house registration and loan related documents. Some where I heard that I have to visit the Indian Embassy, if it is necessary do I need to go SFO or is there any other way.

Don't know much but I think you Don't need to go to Indian Ambassay. SBI might provide you with POA format. You can get it notorized at UPS or AAA. Then the person in India needs to get it notorized there (or an opposite Process). Thats what ICICI use(d) to do.
Also visit SBI-San Diego and see if they can help.
