Is there an area in SD where the south asian community is strong? I know of the restaurants on black mountain road, but how about neighborhoods to live?

Though its hard to pin point a single area where you find majority of Indians but according to me, you will find many indians in the following aparments/areas: Esplanade (camino ruiz), Mira Monte apartments(maya linda road), carmel summit/landing(carmel mountain rd), maya linda apartments. There might be many more which i m also not aware of. Hope this info might help u.

We'll be moving down from Canada and was alson interested in knowing where San Diego's "Little India" area is located.
Any recommendations on good places to get fresh Indian groceries as well?

Are you looking to buy or rent? Mira Mesa is where a lot of South Asians are. Other place to consider would be UTC/La Jolla
